Are we shaping the right mindset for innovation?
If innovation is a seemingly risky world, this involves breaking the current tendency to be closer to the comfort zone, because being and innovator is about embracing ambiguity, which is the key role of the “bricoleur”. This involves reminding that the current education experiences, tools and toolkits, provide by the educative institutions, to often prepare people only for a predictable an unambiguous world.
We talk a lot about innovation, multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams but often we forget the fact that people are smart in a different way. According to my experience, having the right mindset, the culture and climate for innovation are the strongest drivers of innovation.
